Amy Duba - Denver Lead Coach

I am from the great plains of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I attended the University of South Dakota where I ran track for three years and played soccer for three years. Although running is something I enjoy now, it hasn't always been my passion. Growing up, I spent most of my time on the soccer field.
My recent enjoyment for running comes from running with friends on the varying terrains Colorado has to offer but more specifically on the trails. I have dabbled in a couple of 50k races that have kept my appetite for trail running ever increasing.
I eat ice cream almost every day and I eat it year round.

Favorite races thus far are in order of the most scenic: Silver Falls 50k, North Face 50k, Mickelson Trail 1/2 marathon

Bucket List: Races: Golden Leaf Half in Aspen
Adventures/Hikes: Zion Traverse, Wonderland Trail, Colorado Trail
Fun fact: I am unable to cross my eyes.

Rachel Dehner

Rachel Dehner has been coaching for Revolution Running since 2004. She began running in junior high school and hasn’t stopped since.  She has raced everything from5K’s to 50K’s, as well as the Mt. Evans and Pikes Peak Ascents.  She is now discovering a love oftrail running and is looking forward to new off-road adventures.  Personal bests include:  19:49 inthe 5K, 1:29 in the half marathon and 3:34 in the marathon.  She has qualified for Boston 5 timesand ran it for the first time in 2011; definitely one of her most memorable running experiences!  She began dabbling in snowshoe racing in the winter of 2010, finding a sport that makes runningseem relatively easy!

She believes that while training must be hard work at times, the joy and pleasure that come fromrunning should always be the first priority.  The sense of health and well-being that come fromstaying active is something she believes affects all aspects of a person’s life.  She also believes thatcross-training is key and keeps active herself by mountain and road biking, hiking, snow-shoeing,and yoga.  She is truly passionate about running and loves sharing that with everyone she coaches.

Matt Nolen

Hi!! I'm Matt Nolen and I really, really like to run. I started running sometime when I was in middle school and carried on all the way to today. However, I did not start training seriously and following a solid training plan until 2005 but since that time I have been going full speed ahead ever since. Other than running fast, my goals are to remain as healthy and injury free as possible and to help other find a joy and love to running similar to mine. Outside of running I enjoy several outdoor sports; including, skiing, whitewater kayaking, and rock climbing. I also like sitting on the porch in the morning and drinking a good coffee.

Laura Tremblay

Laura Tremblay is a very new addition to the Revolution Running group. She grew up in Loveland, CO and has been living and running in Boulder for 5 years.  Laura trained at CU- Boulder for 3 years and competed in cross country and track races during her time on the team. She was an NCAA, Division 1 All-American in cross country and competed at the 2009 IAAF World Cross Country Championships while at CU.

After graduating with a degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering, Laura started working at a Medical Device company called Terumo BCT in Lakewood, CO. She helped coach her high school running team shortly after graduating and discovered her interest in developing young runners and helping them achieve the next step in their fitness.

Competitive running was a very large part of her life for 8+ years and she now runs for fun. She enjoys sharing her own competitive running experiences with athletes from the Boulder area and loves helping them reach their training goals. Laura realizes that all runners are different and each person deserves a personalized approach to their training. Her coaching style is all about enjoyment in the sport and preventing injuries so that the sport never runs you, you run the sport.

Deb Cunningham

Running is my absolute favorite sport. I’ve been doing it forever – roads with Rev Run and Rocky Mountain Road Runners, trails with the Denver Trail Runners, and coaching with Revolution Running and Fast Forward. This is a sport you can do for a lifetime and you meet the best people while running.

Areas of Coaching Interest:
Beginner Runners – Rev Run 11 minute pace group.
Runners who want to improve performance

Experience as a Coach:
Coaching with Revolution Running since 2014

Experience as an Athlete:
39 years of running experience. Been running year round since my freshman year of high school. I have run 16 marathons, two 50ks and 100's of races from 2 mile to half marathon.  I run a lot around Denver and often place in my age group.
Now that I have Osteopenia, I’ve had more than my share of stress fractures. I have experience coming back from injury and can help you if you’re in that situation.

Sara Whatmore

I am originally from North Carolina, but moved to Denver in 2008 to enjoy the beautiful mountains and strong endurance-sport community. I have a Level 1 USATF coaching certification as well as Level 1 and 2 RRCA coaching certifications. Running has been a passion of mine since my junior high track days. Since then, I have raced a variety of distances including half marathons, full marathons, 50Ks, and even an Ironman. I most enjoy loading up my backpack and hitting the trails for long runs.

Brian Hansen

I am originally from Wisconsin.  I started running when I was in middle school, when I would join my dad for an occasional loop around the neighborhood; more just to spend some time with him, nothing really serious.  In high school, one of my teachers offered extra credit to try out for the cross country team because they were having trouble fielding a full squad.  I joined and found a team full of awesome nerds and weird traditions and have been a runner ever since.  I've run every distance from 400M to marathons, road races and trail races, and even had a few years as a triathlete.  I moved to Colorado in 2005 and worked at the Runners Roost a bit while I was in school, picking the brains of some great runners and coaches.  I started coaching with Revolution Running in 2007, and over the years have loved working with runners of every experience level and with all varieties of goals.  My biggest goal as a coach is to help runners learn to see running as a lifestyle, and more than just training for a race.  I love Revolution Running because it has a great core of supportive coaches and fellow runners who help keep you motivated year-round.

Fun fact: I am at least 6 inches taller than everyone else in my family.  I sprouted 5 inches in middle school, making me 6' 2" and about as coordinated as a baby giraffe.  Thankfully, baby giraffes can run within a few hours of being born.... but they are terrible at soccer :-)
